I have had to put digits to keyboard, after listening to the most amazing interview about Michael.
Deborah Campisie Kunesh (she of Reflections of the Dance site) interviewed David Nordahl ( for those who reside on Planet Zog, he is the artist who painted a lot of the wonderful fantasy pictures of Michael, which hung around Neverland).
I must be honest I put this on expecting it to be fairly boring!! Ha! Was I wrong. I never realised exactly how close he became to Michael and subsequently all the amazing experiences he had with him, all of which he was more than happy to share with us.
By the end of the interview, I had tears streaming down my face. That box within my heart in which I had locked all the hurt and anger over Michael's demise, had just been opened!
The Michael that David experienced was a person who tried his hardest to cope with the burden of his fame the best he could, never forgetting his humble roots. The Michael he discussed was absolutely no where near the person portrayed in the Media, but then we all knew that!! Through David's recollections, I felt again the hurt and pain Michael must have gone through desperately battling not only the injustices thrown on him by others but his body as well. My heart aches for every time he looked in the Mirror and saw how the Vittilego was slowly decimating his body, not to mention the pain he went through because of his Lupus. How many times must he have asked God the question "Why?". Yet as David told us he never ever was heard to complain or grumble in public or in front of his friends!!
It just bought it back exactly how unfair Michael's last 17yrs had been to him!
At one point David Nordahl was explaining about how much he loved the Ranch (Neverland) and how he loved to walk around it with him singing (Nordahl, goes on to explain that it wasnt like they way he sang on stage) this was more like the way someone would sing in the bath!!! He then added that it was the saddest thing to see him being stripped of his happiness! Gut wrenching!!
The real icing on the cake was when David shared with us exactly how loving and caring a father Michael really was. Not for him the farming out of his children to the care of Nannies. He was hands-on all the way!
It has just bought back exactly what we have lost and hardest of all what his children have lost!
More importantly it has also highlighted the absolute evil which resides in the world lurking in the shadows just waiting to take advantage of those with innocent souls such as Michael's.
This is precisely why I will continue battling for Justice and against these dark forces!! I want nothing more than for one day, the real truth to come out about the circumstances surrounding his death,
Listening to all David had to recount, made me think once again about other news that came to me yesterday. Apparently there are rumours that Michael is being considered by the Pope for Cannonisation (Sainthood). Although I agree that there is no one more suited to the job, actually mulling it over today made me think that Michael would be shaking his head and laughing at the thought of this! Firstly he is not of the Catholic persuasion and secondly he would have said it was too grand a position for him. The beauty of our Michael was that he tried his hardest to stay grounded, not just because that was the way he was but also because it kept him connected to those who really mattered to him, the children! Michael was never into Pomp and Circumstance and apart from anything else, we his fans will still love him and continue to worship him Sainthood or not!
Please if you get the chance listen to this amazing interview,it is guaranteed to bring a tear to your eyes and warm the cockles of your heart
Thank you David for so eloquently sharing your memories with us
