Right lets try to look at this outside of the box.
1. We already have the best of Michael - we are not going to get any better
2. So maybe people have tampered with 'Breaking News'. To me it has all the hallmarks of a 'Michael' song and that goes for the uninitiated as well!
3. To not buy it, wont affect Sony in the least (remember there are millions of his fans who are not as educated as most of us are to all that is going on, and they will buy it whatever).
4. We have to accept that from now on this will be the type of album we will get. According to interview with Teddy Riley, with a lot of songs Mike only laid down one or two tracks, as ideas to work on. Also according to the good Mr Riley the next album will be a collaboration. We have to accept this. We have the best...with Michael gone, his legacy lays in the hands of mixers, finishers and producers - all unsupervised by Mike!
5. We are, as Michael's fans, (unofficially) charged with the responsibility of maintaining his legacy (in every shape and form). So yes as such we are entitled to scream and shout when we feel that something has been put in the public domain which does not meet his standard (and positively promote his legacy to us). To me 'Breaking News' (with Mike in or out of it) does not degrade his music. We have to understand that to the 'untrained ear' it will be a wholly MJ track. It is only those of us who recognise those signature notes and trademark adagios that realise that maybe, perhaps it is not all Michael.
At the end of the day it is down to personal preference and ones own beliefs and feelings.
